Under the heading of "They're Only Pictures: 25 Photographs by Juan Rulfo," Fnac will present an exhibition made up of a series of images captured by the well-known Mexican writer. Organised in collaboration with the Juan Rulfo Foundation and the publishing company, Editorial RM, this exhibition will commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the writer's death. The show will consist of 25 images that have been taken from the recently published book entitled "100 Photographs by Juan Rulfo." The exhibition was created by two experts in the field, the English photographer, Andrew Dempsey, and the Italian photographer, Daniele De Luigi, who also selected the photographs for the book after being granted access to the author's entire photographic archive. The works that have been chosen for the exhibition provide a representative sample of the Mexican writer's extensive output. They focused mainly on architecture (a discipline he knew well) and on landscapes, not to mention ethnic groups in Mexico, life (and death) in small towns and villages ... and portraits.
